About Me

Thank you for finding me! I hope I have the opportunity to help you with your real estate financing. I'd like to put my knowledge and experience to work for you!

A little history. I was born in Wichita. My family homesteaded around nearby Mt. Hope in the 1860s. In 1986 I began originating residential mortgage loans. In the same year I started investing in real estate. I was a loan originator for 10 years. Then fortunately, real estate investments allowed me to "retire" at age 43 and fullfill my dream of spending more time doing volunteer work while managing my investments.  In 35 years as a real estate professional I've developed 2 residential subdivisions; built or rehabbed severall single and multi-family properties; invested in commercial (retail) rentals and one 140,000 square foot office building; brokered commercial mortgages; owned and managed a small portfolio of loans. I continue doing volunteer work, including working with a crew of construction volunteers. Until recently I was also caregiver for a family member.

My schedule changed recently and I decided to get a "real job" and go back to work originating residential mortgages.  I'm actually quite excited about this opportunity and want to be a good team member with Open Mortgage...and you.
